“World Heritage Nijo Castle Early Spring National Treasure Ninomaru Shikidai Special Entry”
Opening hours: 8:45-17:00 (Reception desk opens until 16:00)
Address: 541 Nijojocho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto
Event Period: January 4 – January 27, 2020
*Closed on Tuesdays
Admission fee:
Adults: 1030 yen
Middle school and high school students: 350 yen
Elementary school students: 200 yen
Kindergarten students and younger: free
Shikidai, meaning the reception room, connects the reception areas of the Palace with the formal audience chambers.
Usually, Shikidai can be seen only from the hallway.
But in this special event, you can see the beautiful paintings on the barrier walls and on the ceiling up close.
It would be wonderful to take a photo in a kimono with the Nijo Castle as the background!
We will also show you a new information from Kyoto Ekimae Kyoto Tower store.
Starting from January 16, the “premium kimono plan” has been removed and now there are only two rental options at our store, “pickable standard kimono plan” and “pickable high-end kimono plan.”
