Today, if you rent at our Asakusa Sensoji store you might had the chance to join one of the wildest and cheerfullest festivals of the country; the Sanja Matsuri!(ﾉ> ◇ <)ﾉ♪
The Sanja Matsuri basically consist into a parade of over 100 teams carrying mikoshi. (Heavy statues of Gods carried to purify the city.)
You find teams of men, women and even children! Each of them carries a mikoshi adapted in size to their constitution.
From the purpose of purifying the city, the festival also is an amazing challenge of strength and team spirit!(ﾉﾟ0ﾟ)ﾉ~
As a bonus, a high-rank geisha performance is associated with the festivities. As this type of presentation is rare in Tokyo, you have to book your ticket in advance.★
From May 19th until May 21st do not miss the chance to visit the Sanja Matsuri dressed in your favorite kimono or yukata! The festival takes place at the Sensoji Temple; how could it be more convenient!(⋆⁰ ̥̮⁽⁰)(⁰⁾ ̥̮⁰⋆)
