Last Friday, Sendai City had its first snowfall of the winter this year ⛄
Although we will get into the real winter soon and the weather will get more and more cold, but it’s also the time for the beautiful illumination season. ✨
The illumination of “Sendai Pageant of Starlight” (仙台光のページェント) was started on 6th December (the same day as the first snowfall!!)
The zelkova trees (keyaki trees) that line Jozenji Street are illuminated with about 600,000 brilliant lights in this winter spectacle of light.
There are many restaurants on tall buildings alongside the Jozenji Street, so you may see the splendid view of the illumination from above.
Visitors can enjoy a romantic stroll through this magical “tunnel of illumination.”
Please check out the illumination while wearing a kimono this year.
