As a consequence, the number of those who have knowledge about kimono is gradually decreasing. Nowadays, kimono is considered as a special costume to be worn in limited events such as children celebration and coming age ceremonies. Modern Japanese who chose to wear kimono probably want to retrieve the original culture.
